PVD Devices

We design and build custom devices for the physical vapor deposition (PVD) methods sputtering and cathodic arc deposition (CAD).

Here are examples of PVD devices we have been built:
Combined CAD and PECVD device to coat profiles for bath shower stalls with hard chromium
Combined CAD and PECVD device to coat profiles for bath shower stalls with hard chromium. The profiles are activated, subsequently coated with chromium and eventually coated with a plasma polymer as finish. All process steps are performed in the same chamber without any transfers.
Diode sputtering device
Special device for DC diode sputtering. This sputtering method allows the deposition of electrically conductive coatings that have different properties than magnetron sputtered coatings.
Dual magnetron sputter device
Sputter device with a dual magnetron. It allows to sputter two materials at once. The device is used for R&D at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg.
Electron beam sputter device
Sputter device where an electron beam is used to evaporate the material that will be used for the coating.
